Ancient Druids and The Mahatmans

Were these the real ancient Druids

 The True Gwynfydolion  from the Circle of Gwynfyd ?

They had the Aegis of Druidic Draíocht that we have so long ago lost. 

And today seem not to even know it  ever  was "Ár Draíocht Féin" Our own (Druid) Magick

 Or are the Mahatmans  their heirs in the Circle of Abred and we today a mere shadow of them?

Yet the Ancient First Oak still calls to the few across the Leys of Time. 

Term meaning as I use them here:

1) Abred > The Circle of this physical world / reality.

2) Gwydion > In pre-Celtic times there was the first of the Bards, whom even Taliesin, "the most extravagant in his pretensions of all Celtic bards," acknowledged as one who took precedence over him.

3) Gwynfyd > The Circle of Blessedness, the Astral world or Summer-lands.

4)  Gwynfydolion  >  Beings who had been made perfect in a previous world-cycle or  age, and were denizens of Gwynfyd.  Proto-Druids or Cole-Men Godlike beings.

5)  Mahatmans >  (The Mahatmans are highly evolved men, controlling powers over Nature's forces which they have gained through self-directed evolution during many, many lives in the near and distant past. Now they are become Masters of life; in former ages they were men like you and me.  The Masters and the Path of Occultism, p. )

Adders Snakes and Druids:

You will hear (read) at times me and other Druids refer to themselves or ancient Druids as Adders (a kind of Snake).

There are many references to Snakes and old Celtic Gods and Goddesses, also Druids having a special relationship with them. I will only go into one here that I often use. As it seems many Neo Druids still have the Christian phobia of snakes even as they walk the Druid's Woods.

“Ophiolatreia” is a interesting read and has a section on Druids and their special relationships to snakes.
