Meta-History Dare to know the Truth

Magdalene in the Cave. J. J. Lefebvre, 1826.

A most interesting site, much to read and research !!!
TDK

http://www.metahistory.org/index.php

>>Metahistory is a path beyond the received scripts of history and culture, toward a world free from enslavement to historical lies and unexamined beliefs.

Humanity is a species endangered by its beliefs, and most of all, its religious illusion of superiority. To go beyond history is not solely a human prerogative, for the path ahead is not ours alone, but the way of all sentient beings.

Closely aligned with deep ecology, and going deeper, this site develops open source spirituality that can reflect the innate sanity of humankind. It explores the question of what is a true planetary view, a way to live bonded intimately to the earth and coevolving with the non-human world. Toward that end, it invites a future myth, a story to guide the species and align one person at a time to Gaia, the living planet....
Knowledge of that which is alive can alone banish terror.

Herbal Magick

What is Herbal Magick anyway?

Well it is quite a complex soup but I try and define it as I understand it.

Herbal Magick is:

The use of herbs and their subtle energies and essences in many forms to help bring about desired changes or results often without any visible or direct connections to the event.

It entails the utilization of the energies within, around or associated and entangled with the herb (plant fungus, bush or tree etc) as part of a willful action or effect. This processes is fully symbiotic and requires willful directed energy from the conjure worker to interact with energies of the herbs and any other forces or entities that also may be entangled with these herb families. They (the herbs) furnish the resonance frequencies or vibrations. We strike the Notes Direction Purpose or Targets.

What Herbal Magick is not:

Most often this as accepted as not the food, nutritional or medical values known to the herbs.  What I will say for sure from a Magickal working point of is this is. The Physical application of the herb in any form to a human target or subject of your spell.

Now I know this puts things like "Hot Foot Power" in a odd position as subject should walk through it.  Yet as it is not interned to be absorbed by subject I still consider it Herbal Magick.

What I do not consider Herbal Magick is for example the physical poisoning or drugging someone, This is not Magick, Herbal or otherwise. Also of course an illegal and immoral action. And yes this includes Weed, Booze or other social drugs.

Now on the other hand, the use of herbs in things incense or teas that you the conjure worker inhale  absorb or ingest that may alter your perception or interaction with seen and unseen reality is a far more complex issue.

This may entail psychotropic mental or other physical effects. And this is often part of advanced well trained usage by some Herbal Conjure workers. The effects of this may also include Auraic changes and the allowing the more direct interactions with elements of the Worlds both Physical and Spirit, that then support, make or create, seemly impossible things to happen.

As there are many many books on Herbal Magic, what Herbs, what for, how to prepare and the related spells or incantations to go with them. And the could fill tombs with their leaves. I will not go into that here. But try and focus or little shared or occult bits and my technical views of them.

For example one very overlooked area and possible source of useful Magick materials is the soil your herb has grow in. Already a powder, both enriched and depleted of certain elements, vital energies and microscopic life forms. Perhaps ideas are already forming on how You can use this  Golden  Magick Dirt.  We at "The Cosmic Salamander Inc." prepare and bottle soils from the Herbs we grow just for their Magickal values in spells.

Fresh Dried or Fine Wine Aged:

Dried herbs often have different properties than fresh. Just as cooking changes the chemical structures of foods and their accessible nutrients.

Older dried herbs like fine wine can grow its Magickal  Powers, Also if they age in a Magickal Place / Store that has its own Powers of place (Genius Loci) People and many other Magical items around them, These herbs act like Magickal Magnets absorbing amazing powers.

Ancient Druids and The Mahatmans

Were these the real ancient Druids
'
The True Gwynfydolion  from the Circle of Gwynfyd ?

They had the Aegis of Druidic Draíocht that we have so long ago lost.

And today seem not to even know it  ever  was "Ár Draíocht Féin" Our own (Druid) Magick

Or are the Mahatmans  their heirs in the Circle of Abred and we today a mere shadow of them?

Yet the Ancient First Oak still calls to the few across the Leys of Time.

Term meaning as I use them here:

1) Abred > The Circle of this physical world / reality.

2)
Gwydion > In pre-Celtic times there was the first of the Bards, whom even Taliesin, "the most extravagant in his pretensions of all Celtic bards," acknowledged as one who took precedence over him.

3)
Gwynfyd > The Circle of Blessedness, the Astral world or Summer-lands.

4)
Gwynfydolion  >  Beings who had been made perfect in a previous world-cycle or  age, and were denizens of Gwynfyd.  Proto-Druids or Cole-Men Godlike beings.

5)
Mahatmans >  (The Mahatmans are highly evolved men, controlling powers over Nature's forces which they have gained through self-directed evolution during many, many lives in the near and distant past. Now they are become Masters of life; in former ages they were men like you and me.  The Masters and the Path of Occultism, p. )

>>
aegis noun    (Concise Encyclopedia)
In ancient Greece, the leather cloak or breastplate associated with Zeus. It was worn most prominently by Zeus's daughter Athena (whose aegis bore the head of Medusa) but occasionally also by other gods (e.g., Apollo in the Iliad).<<
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/aegis

??
aegis, also spelled egis, plural aegises or egises ,  in ancient Greece, leather cloak or breastplate generally associated with Zeus, the king of the gods, and thus thought to possess supernatural power. Zeus’s daughter Athena adopted the aegis for ordinary dress. Athena placed on her aegis a symbolic representation of the severed head of the Gorgon Medusa. The head itself had been a gift from the Gorgon’s slayer, Perseus. Occasionally, another god used it—e.g., Apollo in the Iliad, where it provoked terror. As early as Homer the aegis was more than an ordinary goatskin cloak, for it was decorated with golden tassels. A stout hide of this sort could turn a blow, like a buffcoat, and thus it often appears as armour. Later, after improvised armour of this type went out of use, it was occasionally thought of as a metal corselet.<<

Oh and LJ you remember our famous Druii Dear Dr. William Price
He was into Goat skins too. Magick no doubt.
Dr Price appears in the photograph contained in a book in Welsh of which he is the author, and a copy of which he presented to Mr Justice Stephen, at the recent assizes, when the cremation case was heard. After a few more remarks in the Welsh language, the doctor rehabilitated himself in the calmest manner possible, and continued his lecture, still retaining possession of the egg and the staff of mysterious omen. Having concluded, he gathered up his books, to which he had not referred, and placed them in a trunk, after which the goatskin and cloak were put on, and thus equipped for mingling with his fellow-men, the doctor went forth to defy the April weather.

Summerland's Crossing (Funeral) Ritual Poems

Love is a Living Altar that never Dies even when the body does. TDK

Favorite readings that I like at just a Happy and Sad Time.

I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying, You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said " it's me."

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away."
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning
and say "good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.

Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me.

Author ~ unknown

Do not stand at my grave and weep:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on the snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Druid Magick or Conjure (Ár nDraíocht Féin > Our Own Draíocht)

Some have ask why I use the spelling of Magic with the K Magick, others feel that Druidia should turn a Blind Eye to Ceremonial Magick and the works of the Late great Aleister Crowley,

Some seem to feel that Conjure, Spells,  Draíocht, Curses (a form of Blessing), Druid Rhetorics Rosc Roscanna, Bérla Féini (Dark Speak) have no place in Modern Druidism or Druidry.

I will try to address these issues with links to wise words of others and crumbs of my own. This blog will grown as I share more Golden Acorns and Hazelnuts that I have found.

Use of Magick instead of Magic,  It is well accepted variant  to differ from (Magic) as a slight of Hand Art.

As Psychic / Real Magic (Magick) or Conjure was accepted as what one was referring to in the 12-18 century . There was I believe no need to have a different spelling (Slight of Hand is now the common meaning).

As for the Great Beast (Aleister Crowley) who is honored with coining this spelling, I feel strongly that any Druii that is not well read on CM " Ceremonial Magick" has lost a great opportunity to understanding  (Ár nDraíocht Féin > Our Own Draíocht) our real Conjure abilities both from the Past and Present.

And Sadly yes its true I feel that much of the Real Psychic, Magick, Summerlands  (Astral Multidimensional  Multi-Gods and races of non human Reality) is totally lost  to the Neo Pagans / Druids except in lip service and Role Playing.

Did Druids do real Magick / Conjure?  Druid Magick or Conjure  (Ár nDraíocht Féin > Our Own Draíocht)

Draíocht - One of the three primary arts, the word is used to refer to what we would now called "magick" (in both the simple and the ritual sense). It means "the use of powers to effect ends." Spell-casting, the use of evocations and invocations, the practice of chanting, circle dancing (intended to bring about a particular end) and other arts are all considered disciplines of draíocht.

The Late Druid Elder Author and of friend Isaac Bonewits  chose (Ár nDraíocht Féin > Our Own Draíocht) for the Last Druid Order / School and Grove he founded. Most often called AFD for short.

Notes:

1)
Magick (thelema), in the context of Aleister Crowley's Thelema, is a term used to differentiate the occult from stage magic and is defined as "the Science and Art of causing Change to occur in conformity with Will", including both "mundane" acts of will as well as ritual magic. Crowley wrote that "it is theoretically possible to cause in any object any change of which that object is capable by nature".[1] John Symonds and Kenneth Grant attach a deeper occult significance to this preference.[2]
Crowley saw Magick as the essential method for a person to reach true understanding of the self and to act according to one's true will, which he saw as the reconciliation "between freewill and destiny."[3] Crowley describes this process in his Magick, Ref.

More Notes:

The Llewellyn Encyclopedia

Celtic Magic

The Druids and filídh were known for their divination and mysticism. These took manyforms, such as the learning and verse forms for composing blessings and curses, and the memorization of old hymns, chants and incantations. The basic song wascalled a cantalon in Gaulish (cetal in Old and Middle Irish).Another verse form was called a lay (or laedha, in Old Irish).Words, singing and poetic speech were considered magical in Celtic culture, andcertain forms of poetry or verse were used for accomplishing effects. A Druidicspell would thus be accomplished by singing a certain kind of song. Referencesto these songs have been found in ancient Gaulish inscriptions, as well asIrish texts such as the Book of Ballymote, and formed part of thefifteen-year training in the Filídhecht or "Bardic" schools. Thus certain formsof poetry or verse were used for accomplishing certain effects. Words, singingand poetic speech were considered magical in Celtic culture, and certain formsof Irish filídh also had to learn ogams; numerals, ciphers and codesmade from notches carved along the straight edge of a twig. Ogams wereprimarily primitive numerals and mnemonic devices, but were later used formemorizing and spelling out the sounds of the early Irish language, and fordivination. There were originally twenty ogam characters, but in medieval timesthe Filídh invented an extra five, called aicme forfeda, ("group ofextra woods [letters]"), for consonant clusters or diphthongs. Among othernatural phenomena, lists of trees, animals, hills, and bodies of water were allpart of the ogamic system. Only later did names of trees become associated withthe ogam alphabet.)

No where inthe Old Irish texts does one find any evidence for the ogams representingmonths; nor did they represent lines from the Song of Amerigan or the CadGoddeu, "Battle of the Trees." Although there were ogams representingtrees, trees themselves represented many things, such as playing pieces inboard games such as Irish fidhchell, or "woodskill" (Welsh gwyddbwyll),and brandubh, ("blackraven"). Trees could also represent people, sincepeople descended from the world-tree Bilios (Bile in Irish).

Psychic Vampires

Psychic Vampires do exist among Humans and are quite common.

How do they do it you ask?

Aura Teeth

LOL but true we all bleed off life energy from our Aura, a bit like Flashlight bleeds Light while eating Battery Life.

Some people can both absorb this energy and also cause you to spill out (or perhaps suck out) more of this Auraic Life energy than you should be losing. Giving you a very rundown experience.

Many of us experience this when around a very sick person, as they do it subconsciously being very low in life energy themselves.

And yes it is easy to learn to do. Got time for a little bite my love?

A small Life energy experiment. Some mite call it Auraic.
Next time you are in a store or around people. Start thinking Love love love, very general unfocused . This may also raise sexual energy and feeling, this is normal to if healthy.
As you see people (no matter age / sec / health) let it flow out.
Do not smile unless smiled at first. We want to not send physical triggers or Kinesics .
Note how they react to you, even very young children.
Psychic field, Aura, Body energy feeding them, Pheromones, perhaps all?
Give it a few tries.
