In our Work and Study we have many many sources of written information to draw from.
Almost all of these Authors and works may have their supporters believers distractors lovers and haters.
I often try and use works or translations of works from the twelfth century through the twentieth century. For many reasons, noting that most Twenty First century works are based on reinterpretations of these works in light of the current accepted Pagan beliefs and myths.
Still I like to read the old first and then see how it is supported or attacked. Keeping in mind that anything shared in research is often first Praised (more books sold) then attacked (new wave of books or research sold) and latter a last wave of books and research claiming often a balance between the first two waves. After all both Research and Book writing of any kind are businesses of one sort or another.
So what do I do when some hard science say like ancient Pollen studies proves a Author wrong about something like say the Druid Tree Calendar or wheel?
I look for the Awen in all, even claimed outright fiction, something (Awen / Past Lives) often feed the imagination.
Can I use the idea or concepts, could they be true in some Alternate reality even? Perhaps so, I savor the smell and the taste of the Soup and if all the ingredients are not quite what was claimed. So be it.
You will find in this Study group and blog I will quote many sources besides my own Awen. Many Paths and Many Views. Many Gods and many ways all added to the Cauldron of today's Magick and Works.
And so I care not if they have never been read or have fallen out of Favor with some or even many of the High Priest and Priestess, Published Scholars or just famous in our Druidic / Pagan Woods.
TDK / The Druid King.
